About the Lounge

Cigar smokers in Western Connecticut not only have a place to purchase cigars… but a place to enjoy them as well. Big Buddha consists of a retail shop, a public smoking room, and a membership lounge. The store offers over 400 cigar choices, cigar accessories, pipes, tobacco, and antique tobacciana. The public smoking room offers comfortable seating, music, Wi-Fi internet access, and a flat screen TV. The Big Buddha Club, a member’s only lounge (with guest privileges), has the above amenities and many more. Big Buddha is open late 6 days a week.

Meet Bryan

Bryan and his family moved to Connecticut in 2006 after 12 years living in NYC. Noticing that Western Connecticut lacked locations to smoke cigars indoors, he opened the Big Buddha Cigar Lounge in 2010. Bryan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in Finance. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry as a bond broker, equity trader, and financial advisor. Since 2013, Bryan has run the Newtown office for Edward Jones. Bryan also lives in Newtown with his wife, Dana and two children, Lewis and Eliza.
